Rights summons for health official
Patna: State Human Rights Commission, Bihar, on Monday ordered the director-in-chief of the health department to appear before it in person on December 20 with details of the “action taken report” in a case of a nursing school in Muzaffarpur district.
The institution had admitted more students than the number of seats allotted to it. Some of the aggrieved students had approached the commission following which it had taken up the matter.
The director-in-chief had informed the commission a high-powered committee had been constituted to look into the alleged irregularities at the nursing school. The committee has been directed to submit its report within a week.
Cellphones found in raid
Gopalganj: Three cellphones and other objects were found during a raid at Gopalganj jail on Sunday night. The raid, which continued till Monday morning, was conducted under the command of Gopalganj sadar sub-divisional officer Reyaz Ahmad at 11pm.

Building arrest
Patna: Fourteen people were arrested on Monday in connection with the illegal construction of an apartment in the Boring Road area. Sri Krishna Puri police have lodged two FIRs.
