Contract killer trio in cop net
lgopalganj: Three men accused of abducting and killing one Kamlesh Gupta (20) of Nechuar village under Kuchaikot police station were arrested on Sunday. Kamaleshwar Singh, Tarkeshwar Nath Singh and Mukesh Yadav later confessed to their crime.
Superintendent of police (SP) Vinod Chaudhry said Kamlesh had married one Suman of Jagdauli village against the wishes of the bride’s father, Ganesh Sah. Sah’s hired three killers to abduct and kill Kamlesh in 2013. Sah is absconding.
Bankers beaten up
lgopalganj: Field officer of the State Bank of India, Thawe branch, and another employee, Krisna Kumar, were on Sunday badly beaten up when they went to recover Rs 10 lakh taken as loan by Madho Yadav. When the bankers insisted on payment, Madho’s son Raju and his men attacked them. An FIR has been lodged against Raju.
