Chhapra: Surgeons Anil Kumar and Sanju Prasad successfully conducted a gall bladder operation on one Sajida Khatun. The patient had 310 stones in her gall bladder.

Dr Kumar said on Tuesday usually maximum of 10 stones develop in a gall bladder, making the recent operation a rare case.

Bank services

Patna: The Bank of Baroda opened 70 new branches in Bihar in the 2013-14 financial year. The bank also has 185 automated teller machines (ATMs) in Bihar. S.K. Shaw, the bank’s general manager and head, Bihar-Odisha-Jharkhand zone, said on Tuesday that the organisation was striving to provide better services to its customers.

Poll ramps

Patna: Ramps would be installed at all polling booths in the state for visually impaired and differently abled voters. An election department note on Tuesday stated that dummy ballot papers in Braille would also be kept at the polling booths for visually impaired persons.

Mithila

Patna: The Adarsh Mithila Party would work towards the creation of a separate Mithila state, according to its manifesto released on Tuesday.
