River tribunal

Patna: The government has demanded constitution of a tribunal on the non-allocation of river Sone water to the state in accordance with the Ban Sagar agreement in 1973.

Sources said Uttar Pradesh was consuming Sone water for the construction of a thermal power plant.

Judge insult

Bettiah: A Class XI student was detained for interrogation on Tuesday for allegedly talking in foul language with a high court judge, Shivaji Pandey, over phone.

Youths drown

Patna: Three boys drowned in the Ganga near Gai Ghat on Tuesday. While the bodies of two of them were recovered, search was on for the third.

Fighter dead

Purnia (PTI): Ram Milan Sah (94), a member of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army, who fought against the British during World War II died on Tuesday.
