Hoops and dunks were on centre court on Friday, the first day of an inter-school basketball tournament, in Patna.
The three-day basketball tournament has been organised by the Loyola Alumni Association. Matches are being held on the Loyola High School premises.
Eight girls' teams and 12 boys' teams from 20 and odd schools are taking part in the league-like tournament.
Brother Shateesh, the school principal, said: 'The alumni association has created a global brand for Loyala Patna through sports and social services.'
Among the matches on the first day, Litera Valley School boys defeated International School (15-5) and Loyola High School won over Satyam International 17-10. Girls of Loyola High School defeated St Joseph's Convent (Hindi) 9-5 among cheers on home ground, while St Joseph's Convent beat Notre Dame Academy 23-12.
