Raxaul, April 1: Two people were shot dead allegedly by members of a banned organisation — Nepal Jantantrik Terai Morcha — on Thursday.

The incident took place around 8.30pm on Thursday on Ashram Road. Documents related to the outfit, too, were recovered from the dickey of a motorcycle found near the incident site.

Police said four members of the outfit had an altercation with each other and one of the members shot two others at point-blank range. The incident took place at Kabab House hotel.

Sub-divisional police officer of Raxaul, Rajeev Ranjan has confirmed the incident.
