Balurghat, Sept. 21: The subdivisional hospital in Gangarampur has run out of supplies of anti-venom serum for the past one month, which is used to treat snake bites.

The hospital superintendent Sudip Das said: “We admit that there has been an acute crisis of AVS in this hospital for around a month.” Residents from Gangarampur, Harirampur, Kushmandi, Banshihari and Tapan blocks depend on the 155-bed subdivisional hospital in Gangarampur for treatment of snake bites.
