Grooving to the master’s moves

The Telegraph Online Published 27.06.11, 12:00 AM
Grooving to the master’s moves
He is one of the most celebrated choreographers in Bollywood today with films like Double Dhamaal, Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai under his belt. And he has made some of the biggest stars groove to his instructions. What Remo D’Souza will be witnessing in Calcutta today, however, promises to be nothing short of pure magic. The stage will come alive to the beats of 450 pairs of feet as Universal Dance Academy presents a grand show featuring participants from Remo D’Souza’s recently-concluded dance workshops in association with t2. Taking centre stage this evening will be ‘dancers’ aged between three-and-a-half and 37, who were trained by dancers from the master choreographer’s troupe in hip hop and Bollywood matkas. The workshops were held between June 2 and June 13 at Remo’s Dance Institute at 28B Dr Rajendra Road, City Centre Salt Lake (EC Block Community Hall), South City International School and Royal Jade Banquets (on EM Bypass, near Siemens office). The surprise of the evening? The F.A.L.T.U director might just bend it like only he can! Be there!
