Festive fun and family bonding

Festive fun and family bonding
Nehru Children’s Museum’s 8th Drama Festival begins today with a performance of Luxemberger Lakshmi, directed by Ramaprasad Banik. The play is set against the backdrop of an old village mansion where a large and extended family members come together from their various city homes to celebrate Durga Puja. It revolves around the idea of family harmony and the joys of love and sharing. What is surprising in the play is that while it depicts adults’ utterly materialistic attitudes and a strange insensitivity to their roots, it emphasises the innocent and undertanding nature of young people.
