Today at Rabindra Sadan auditorium: An evening of three Tagore plays: Tyag (produced by Howrah Dakshinayan) Shasti (produced by Swabak) and Roop O Aroop (produced by Sinthi Sattwik Natyasanstha) . Today at Rabindra Sadan campus: Solo recital of Tagore songs by Pramita Mallick, Nilanjana Sen, Kakali Dutta, Sruti Maity, Soma Roy, Mita Rudra. Sromona Chattopadhyay, Swapan Shome and others, and recitation by Suparna Roy, Shampa Das, Arunava Biswas, Dinesh Manna, Pritha Ghosh Sen, Jit Sarkar and Ranjana Sengupta. May 18 at Eden Gardens Bandstand; 4.30 pm: The state government’s forest department and Bhavna present Kavi Pranam 1411 featuring Tagore songs and recitation. Participants include Agnibha Bandyopadyay, Abhirup Guha Thakurta, Urmimala and Jagannath Basu, Kajal Sur, Kaushik Sen, Gouri and Partha Ghosh, Jojo, Tania Das, Dipak Rudra, Dr Pabitra Sarkar, Pramita Mullick, Manoj Murali Nayar, Manisha Murali Nayar, Roma Mandal, Rajeswar Bhatacharya, Rupankar, Rupa Ganguly, Lopamudra Mitra, Srikanta Acharya, Srabani Sen, Swati and Sunil Gangopadhyay, Soumitra Chatterjee and Swagatalakshmi Dasgupta. On this occasion, an audio album of Tagore songs and poems, Phul Boley Dhanya Aami, will be released by the state forest minister, Jogesh Chandra Barman. May 20 at The Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Vivekananda Hall; 6 pm: A sarod recital by Narendra Nath Dhar, with Samar Saha on the tabla. May 23 at The Calcutta School of Music, Sandre Hall; 6.30 pm: A performance by Austrian musicians, the Duo Medici, with Karin Leitner (flute), and Jorgos Panetsos (guitar). May 21 & 22 at Rabindra Sadan; 7 pm: Mamata Shankar Ballet Troupe presents its new productions, Amritasya Putrah and Tagore in Symphony.
