Art and tradition
In spite of its heat and dust, summer can also bring a lot of colour and happiness to our lives. Summer flowers are in full bloom, filling our gardens and sidewalks with their fresh, sweet fragrance. As an ode to summer and its benevolence, Chitrakoot presents Summer Oasis, the ongoing group show of paintings by well-known artists. Featuring works by early, middle and late 20th century masters as well as contemporary artists, the collection on show covers the entire corpus of creative activity during these periods. The works of the different decades, besides bearing definite traces of the evolution and development of form and style, have references to diverse, interesting themes.
