Inside the consumer psyche

Inside the consumer psyche
The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and KKN Group, in association with The Telegraph, have recently initiated the Think… series of lectures for its members and select associates from January this year. The Chamber will organise one such talk session every month with an achiever in his or her field of expertise. Through this, the Chamber wishes to provide a forum for its members and constituents to listen to eminent personalities on issues of contemporary relevance spanning economy, business, industry, the social context, issues of national importance and the like. Also, it is expected to create value for its members and encourage the audience to think new, think fresh and widen their own perspectives. In the fifth edition of the Lecture Series, to be held this evening, Dheeraj Sinha, regional planning director, Bates 141, will address the audience on Consumer India — Inside the Indian Mind & Wallet. In his book of the same name, Sinha puts Indian consumers into three segments: partition generation, transition generation and no-strings generation, and gives an account of what marketers and advertisers need to keep in mind to draw the attention of each of these consumer segments. Taking off from his book and drawing upon facts, fiction and personal experience, Sinha will unravel the connections between the mind and the wallet of the Indian consumer in this session.

Event: The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and KKN Group in association with The Telegraph present a lecture session by Dheeraj Sinha, regional planning director, Bates 141 When: Today at 7.30pm Where: The Palladian Lounge, The Bengal Chamber, 6 Netaji Subhas Road
