A musical confluence

A musical confluence
The human mind is always in search of novelty. The music connoisseur becomes the catalyst for change and points to the new paths which the artiste must seek and find. The idea of fusion music stems from this eternal curiosity of both the listener and the artiste. In today’s world we all live in a global village, where electronic media and other means of communication have made it possible for us to have a universal culture where fusion of musical genres has its own beauty. Fusion music is an interaction, born out of an enormous degree of respect among the practitioners of different instruments and different genres of music. The object is to create a synergy of ideation and sound, in a celebration of world music. Tollygunge Club presents Fuzorhitm, a musical concert bringing together rock, jazz, funk and both Western and Indian classical elements, in a unique blend that promises a truly refreshing sound. Participants: Anindya Hazra (percussion), Suman Sarkar (tabla), Indradeep Mukherjee (guitar), Devdeep (bass) and Rajeev Karmakar (sitar). Co-hosted by Airtel, Jet Airways and Open Doors.

Event: Fusion music concert When: Today at 7.15 pm Where: Tollygunge Club (HSBC Hall)
