Popular music of Britain
A fusion of rock, hip hop and other alternative genres characterises the current trend in the British popular music scene. As part of its new Lifestyle and Diversity zone, British Council unveils its new music collection, which combines the styling of Britpop along with synthetic qualities of British experimental electronic music. The collection of music CDs and DVDs will be launched by Bickram Ghosh. The evening’s programme begins with a short music performance by Pitchblende, a young group of five musicians from the city. Later, DJ Akash will play a medley of British music and run live contests for the audience to win prizes.

Event: Launch of British Council’s music CD & DVD collection When: Today at 7.30 pm Where: 16 Camac Street, L&T Chambers
