Birla Sabhagar; 6 pm: Tagore Foundation, Nehru Children’s Museum presents ‘Surey Surey Taley Taley’ — an evening of Tagore songs, other Bengali songs, dance, dance-drama Janani Janmabhoomi, and solo recitation by Bratati Bandyopadhyay. n April 5 at Sandre Hall, Calcutta School of Music, 6B Sunny Park; 6.30 pm: Twenty-five young singers, all winners of the musical contest, Gaan Shudhu Gaan, telecast on Doordarshan, will perform with full orchestra. April 6 at Science City Auditorium; 7 pm: The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Calcutta and Anamika Kala Sangam present the exotic Thai classical dances from Lopburi Dramatic Arts College, Lopburi, Thailand. FESTIVAL

Till April 9 at Sri Ganesh & Sri Murugan Temples, 58/14/3&6 Prince Anwar Shah Road: The Panguni Uttaram Festival and Kumb Abhishekam Day will be celebrated with homams, abhishekams, special archanas, shodasopacharam and other aradhanas along with discourse (on Sri Murugan Avatharam; at 7 pm) by Nehru Narayanan. Till April 14 at Sri Thyagaraja Hall: Sri Ramanavami celebrations organised by Ved Bhavan Samaj. with Ganapathy Homam (at 4.30 am) and Upanyasam by Brahmasri B.
