On Thursday morning, when she found his phone unanswered, she called the hostel warden to check upon him. The room was locked from inside and had to be broken into,” said an officer of Taratala police station.

He was found hanging with a nylon rope to a bamboo pole that the other students had set up for exercise.

He was brought down and taken to Vidya Sagar State General Hospital where he was declared dead. The body was removed and sent for post-mortem. An unnatural death case has been started with the Taratala police station.
