New Town: Police busted a sleaze racket and arrested two men and three women from a spa in New Town's Action Area I opposite Axis Mall on Tuesday.

Cops had specific information about the racket being run from the spa on the second floor of a building, an officer of Bidhannagar commissionerate said.

A 64-year-old New Town resident who was in the spa was the first to be arrested by the raiding team at night, followed by manager Deb Prasad Sardar, 27, a Ultadanga resident.

The three women are aged between 26 and 34 and live in New Town, Jorabagan and Barasat, the officer said.

A search is on for the spa owner who lives in Salt Lake's Sector III, he said.

The women have apparently told cops that they were part of the racket by their own choice.

"They would charge anything from Rs 2,000-6,000 from the clients," the officer said.
