Siliguri, Jan. 6: A marathon will be organised here on January 23 as part of the third edition of the Uttar Banga Utsav that will start on January 20.

“Apart from the marathon, there will be a mini marathon and a dream run, 8km and 5km respectively. The full marathon is only for men and both men and women can take part in the other two events,” said minister Gautam Deb.

The total prize money for the whole event is Rs 2.34 lakh and winner of the full marathon will get Rs 1 lakh. One can visit www.siligurimarathon.com or call 09749061806 for registration that begins tomorrow. The last date is January 21.
