Students complaining of unexpected poor results should be shown their answer scripts, the state secondary education board president has suggested in an attempt to minimise unrest over results.

A group of students at Shyambazar AV School and their parents blocked Jatindra Mohan Avenue on October 16, protesting the results of the pre-board tests of classes X and XII. The next day, headmaster Manoranjan Kumar Raptan called the parents to his office and showed them the answer scripts of their children. The parents left the school convinced that their children had been fairly assessed.
