Antara Acharya Dutta will take over from Manmeet Kaur Nanda as the next district magistrate of North 24-Parganas. Her transfer was part of an order issued from Nabanna on Wednesday evening. 

Acharya used to stay at her in-laws’ place in CA Block after her marriage in 2004 and prepared for the civil services exam at the DB Block-based Institute for Civil Service Aspirants. Her last posting was the district magistrate of East Midnapore.

Now a mother of two girls — Arushee and Oishee — Dutta, a 2006 batch IAS, is looking forward to being back in Salt Lake.
“If all goes well, I should join on June 1,” she told The Telegraph Salt Lake.
