The Lakes came alive with Latin music and dance during Salsa In Sarobar, a salsa workshop as part of the Live In Lakes, on Sunday morning. Conducted by Hitesh Teckchandani, the workshop — held at Rabindra Sarobar, opposite Menoka cinema — attracted a mix of salsa enthusiasts. “The unsung hero of the Live In Lakes events in Rabindra Sarobar has been the salsa workshop conducted free for the public by Hitesh. The workshops started in February 2016 with the objective to democratise international dance forms. The workshop has since attracted a number of enthusiasts from across the city and across ages. What the workshop has achieved is that it has made salsa an inclusive dance form for the benefit of a larger audience,” said Mudar Patherya, co-organiser, Live In Lakes.
