Dec 21: The 107th annual general meeting of Ramakrishna Mission was held at Belur Math on Sunday. A brief report of the Mission's activities during 2015-2016 was placed at the meeting.

A free coaching centre for 300 underprivileged children has been started at the Asansol centre. At the Narendrapur centre, Calcutta University has granted permission to start Vivekananda Centre for Research for MPhil/PhD courses. The Jayrambati centre has introduced a colour doppler USG, digital X-ray machine and an eye refraction unit with slit lamp, among other things.
