A group of girls play a game of ‘quick kabaddi’ at half-time during the Bengal Warriors vs Jaipur Pink Panthers match in the Pro Kabaddi League 2 at Netaji Indoor Stadium on Wednesday evening. The five-a-side green and orange teams played in all seriousness for five minutes before leaving the court to the home team, with which The Telegraph is associated, who beat the visitors in a thriller. A group of school and college girls jumped up and down in the stands and screamed “Dhor! Dhor!” with hands cupped over their mouths, exhorting the Bengal defenders to lunge at the Jaipur raider in the tense final minutes of the match. It seemed the girls, who play club-level kabaddi, would jump in any moment and tackle the opponents themselves, just like they would wish to lunge at rogue auto drivers and other tormentors off the court to teach them a lesson.
