Calcutta, Dec. 12: The high court today ordered that a list of assets of the Jessop factory be prepared after an inspection of the Jessore Road premises.

The inspection, Justice Joymalya Bagchi ruled, will be conducted by the deputy inspector general of the CID, director of railways (store) and the district magistrate of North 24-Paraganas, in person or through authorised representatives.

The deadline for the inspection is December 16 and the list of assets will have to be filed on December 19, when the case will next come up for hearing.

The order followed a petition by the Jessop management seeking quashing of the notice issued by the railways alleging that the company had failed to supply items for which it had received money.

Jessop's lawyer Suddha Sattwa Banerjee submitted that the management had every intention to supply the items but was not allowed to enter the factory premises by agitating employees.

State counsel Aniket Banerjee, however, said there was no unrest at the factory.

Industrialist Pawan Kumar Ruia was arrested in Delhi on Saturday on the basis of a complaint of cheating lodged by the railways against Jessop.

On Sunday, the CID slapped additional charges on him, including criminal conspiracy and destruction of important documents by setting a portion of the factory on fire.
