Funnel tunnel to neon wall — the decor of the t2 party was lit!

With neon and metallic being the dominant theme of the party, the entrance captured both the elements

With neon and metallic being the dominant theme of the party, the entrance captured both the elements. On a 8ft X8ft neon backdrop, a 6ft t2 logo was put up. The t2 logo had touches of silver at the base and matte, shiny and textured golden balls in clusters.

One of the prettiest and most photographed spots of the night was this green wall with a neon t2 logo that greeted you right as you entered the party area. It was done by Baisakhi Ghosh, conceptualiser and managing director of BFPL. “This was like an organic and breathable space with greenery and flowers. We had a backdrop with greens with a 4ft t2 written in neon pink with the party hashtag. This space was also done up with around 70 bottles filled with edible psychedelic colours and chrysanthemums on a pretty white bench,” said Baisakhi.

Quirky, vibrant, colourful and neon summed up the tunnel that served as the main walkway to the party. It doubled as one of the most popular selfie spots too. “The idea was to create a tunnel made of funnels in various neon shades like green, pink, yellow and orange, thus bringing out one of the themes of the party,” said Shiv Karira and Pepsi Kalwani of UD Events & More who were behind some of the main installations at the party.

The VIP lounge was divided into two sections — one focussing on a metallic vibe and the other done in neon hues. Around 130 geometric structures were made of cane and wrapped in metallic paper and these were complemented by 50 disco balls and 150 bulbs to create that warm ambient mood. This zone also had lots of mix-and-match furniture and tables by Inspire Decor & Rentals that made all the adda session relaxed and fun!

The Teenage Dream photo-op shouted out the neon theme loud and clear with UV lights accentuating the pop shades. Made with 1,500m of foam bundles, these foam pipes were first rubbed with sandpaper to get rid of the glossy texture and then dipped in paint and dried.

This zone was a continuation of the neon mood with the tree wrapped in printed neon sheets with hand-painted giant foam balls hanging from the branches.

The neon zone also housed the Boomerang booth that was done with pixel tubelights with a t2 backdrop making it clearly one of the coolest sections of the party.

The entrance was done with chrysanthemums and saal pata, which were painted a golden shade. “Here gold was the pop colour, just like teenage,” said Baisakhi.

“I was very happy because Cherry Tree was given the mandate to handle the t2 party again this year. We specialise in bringing the right talent for any event to have that extra edge and that’s exactly what we tried to do for this event too. It was exciting putting together t2’s 13th birthday bash. Neon and metallic was the theme of the event and we got the best team to execute the same,” said Rishabh Bapna, director of Cherry Tree.

“02.02.2020 is a special date unlike any other. Doing the decor for the t2 party made this day even more memorable and it was so much fun right from collaborating with Cherry Tree, to planning, executing, doing the theme differently and creatively by adding fun elements! Feeling super duper proud to be a decor partner to their Teenage Dream,” said Pepsi Kalwani and Shiv Karira of UD Events & More.
