Chowman, the Chinese speciality chain, has opened a take-away counter on VIP Road, opposite Haldiram’s. This is the third take-away outlet of Chowman after those in Broad Street and Jadavpur. “Though our Salt Lake restaurant in BF Block does home delivery too, we wanted to reach out to the people of New Town, Rajarhat, Lake Town and Koikhali. The cooking is done on the spot,” said Debaditya Chaudhury, managing director of Chowman Hospitality. The outlet has started offering all the 73 new items that Chowman has introduced this week inspired by Debaditya’s recent trip to China. A tip: Try out the Sesame Prawn Balls (top left). They simply melt in the mouth.
