Siliguri, June 23: Teachers of St Joseph’s Convent Matigara today distributed leaflets among students, which said the institution would consider restructuring of fees if the state government assured in writing to grant additional ex-gratia.

The leaflet also described the confinement of five representatives of the institution on June 18 on the subdivisional office campus and the alleged verbal abuse hurled at them by some parents.

Sandeepan Bhattacharjee, the president of the Guardians’ Forum of North Bengal, said the parents wanted an early solution to the impasse and would never resort to confinement of teachers in the school.
