Members of Rhythm & Melody, a tabla band comprising blind and visually impaired persons, perform with their teacher Ranjan Nandi (centre) at the Welfare Society for the Blind on Saturday. This was the band's third public performance and they mesmerised the audience with their music. 'I formed this band around eight months ago. There are 10 members but only five performed today,' said Nandi. Tabla maestro Abhijit Banerjee handed over Braille books on the tabla to the participants after the performance. Kunal Gupta, who has offered to sponsor Yudhajeet De for the Junior World Chess Championship for the Blind, was felicitated on the occasion.
