A story born from the rhythm of a father and daughter’s shared world will soon grace the screen of a distinguished film festival. Haati Haati Paa Paa is set to premiere at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Directed by Arnab K Middya, the film stars Rukmini Maitra, Chiranjeet Chakraborty, Anjana Basu, and Tulika Basu.

“Every award holds great significance in our lives. Having our film premiere at a prestigious platform like IFFI is truly an amazing moment for any director. As for how I feel — honestly, words fall short. No scale or measure can define this happiness. It’s an overwhelming emotion that I can’t fully express,” said Arnab.

Haati Haati Paa Paa is about a young woman and her elderly father navigating their relationship as he ages. It focuses on the challenges and emotional concerns of modern family dynamics. The story explores themes of unconditional love, duty, and loneliness, highlighting the challenges of a daughter caring for her ageing father and the intergenerational conflicts that arise in a modern family. The film delves into the unspoken love and spiritual connection in family bonds that transcend romantic relationships.

“As filmmakers, we always want to showcase our work on the biggest platform. And there is no better place than the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa. This is a dream-come-true moment for me and, of course, for all of us. This platform will help us spread the word about our film and attract a wider audience for its theatrical release. It is also an important space for networking, giving us the opportunity to exchange ideas and build valuable connections. Our main goal is to reach passionate film enthusiasts who can help us promote our film to a global audience, including film critics and industry professionals,” said Arnab.
