Bhubaneswar, July 14: Glitz and glamour walked hand-in-hand at the launch party of Oriya film Mate Bohu Kari Nei Jaa. Fashionable ladies as well as cool men from tinsel town brightened the event recently. A sizzling ramp walk was the perfect icing on the cake. Held at New Marrion, the mahurat (launch) was a star-studded one.
The film has a colourful casting with some new faces entering the industry. While glamourous newcomer Aishwarya Pathy has been roped in opposite debutant Dipan, Bengali beauty Malavika Bhhatacharya is also playing one of the leads.
The highlight of the film as well as the party was heartthrob Sidhant Mohapatra. Dressed in cool casuals, Sidhant was successful in drawing eyeballs. Actor Samareshwas was also spotted at the do.
Aishwarya made a classy statement with her attire. Dressed in a black evening gown with a cross-laced back, the new girl looked all set to make a mark in Oriya filmdom. Malavika was all cheerful and excited about her first movie. “I’m really excited to work in a film. Aishwarya and I are already great friends and I’m sure that with this wonderful mix of veterans and freshers, we’ll have a great time on the sets,” said Malavika, who was glittering in a stone-studded outfit.
Dipan looked an ardent socialite in his black velvet blazer and a tie paired up with stone-washed jeans. He walked the ramp and even showed a few moves on the dance floor. To make the event even more sizzling, models walked the ramp for designer Debasish who’s also made a few costumes for the film.
Producer Gyanaranjan Priyadarshan announced that the film would be shot in Thailand.
“The script is based on a family settled outside India. Our entire team will fly to Bangkok the coming week. We have also finalised a few locations in Nepal,” he added. “Mate Bohu Kari Nei Jaa is a film about Oriyas, who are rooted to their culture even after staying out of the country for decades. Sidhant will be playing a negative role in the film,” disclosed director Choudhary Bikash Das.
The team is aiming a Dushhera release, he said.
