Bokaro, Oct. 1: Senior Congress leader and former Dhanbad MP Chandrashekhar Dubey is all praises for Governor K. Sankaranarayanan.

Strongly disagreeing with a few politicians, including his partymen, who had criticised Sankaranarayanan’s style of functioning, Dubey said that the new governor had ushered in development besides starting a new work culture.

“The governor is doing a great job by implementing pro-poor schemes and starting a drive to eradicate corruption,” Dubey said. He was speaking at a news meet in Bokaro today. Former Baghmara MLA and senior INTUC leader O.P. Lal, who was also present, supported him.

“A few persons, including some Congressmen, might have been antagonised by the governor as the latter refused to entertain their demands such as transfer and postings of officials they favour. In reality, all Congress leaders, who are true to the party, support the governor,” Dubey added.

He also condemned the demolition of the boundary wall of Bokaro Steel. “It seems that there is a political conspiracy in it. The administration should deal with the matter sternly,” said Dubey.
