London: Virat Kohli was among those who celebrated the most at Edgbaston on Sunday night. He was, clearly, over the moon.
Back at the Hyatt in Birmingham, Virat briefly spoke to The Telegraph.
“The (2011) World Cup win was very special, but this Champions Trophy victory has been so very sweet,” Virat said, humming “sweet, sweet.”
Asked why, Virat replied: “Because of what happened in India (in the IPL) last month... We proved ourselves on the field... This win will remain very sweet.”
Virat, incidentally, led India to victory in the 2008 U-19 World Cup and, so, has a most impressive CV.
