Shivnath Singh is no more

Jamshedpur: Former Asian Games gold medallist and Arjuna award winning long-distance runner Shivnath Singh died Friday after prolonged illness, family sources said.

The 57-year-old, who won the 500m gold and the 10,000 silver at the 1974 Asian Games in Tehran, was suffering from hepatitis B.

He leaves behind his wife, two daughters and a son.
