Calcutta: The beleaguered Mohammedan Sporting team is facing more trouble. Coach Jamshed Nassiri doesn’t want to continue, citing his mother’s illness.
Nassiri told club officials after Tuesday’s practice session he can’t continue. According to club football secretary Ishtiaq Ahmed, Nassiri said he will have to be with his mother who is scheduled to undergo treatment in Mumbai.
Ahmed, apparently, said that Nassiri will have to continue. The coach could not be contacted, but his family sources confirmed that the former striker’s mother will arrive in Mumbai from Tehran shortly. “He (Nassiri) is likely to leave in a day or two,” said the source.
The club has already changed two coaches this season, Mohammed Habeeb and Shankar Moitra being the earlier ones.
