Leander Paes retains his place in India’s Davis Cup squad that will take on Croatia in an away tie on March 6 and 7.

Rohit Rajpal will continue as the non-playing captain, the All India Tennis Association (AITA) announced on Thursday. Rajpal took over as captain of the side last year, replacing Mahesh Bhupathi ahead of the tie versus Pakistan in November.

Rajpal, who is also the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association president, said: “I have been informed that I will continue as captain for the 2020 season. I feel honoured that AITA has reposed faith in me,” Rajpal said.

Meanwhile, Paes on Thursday confirmed his participation in the Bangalore Open ATP Challenger, beginning on February 10.

The squad: Prajnesh Gunneswaran, Sumit Nagal, Ramkumar Ramanathan, Rohan Bopanna, Divij Sharan and Leander Paes.
