Calcutta, June 24 :
Alokendu Lahiri and Prabir Acharya have topped batting and bowling lists in the CAB first division league and knockout meets this season.
Lahiri, East Bengal and Bengal opener, amassed 1,150 runs in 13 innings. Acharya, the left-arm spinner of Barisha Sporting, took 56 wickets in 15 matches at 16.10.
Subhasish Das of Taltala Institute recorded the highest individual score, 251, against Suburban. The best bowler was Kalighat's Murtaza Lodhgar who took eight for 40 against Shibpur Institute.
Aikya Sammilani's Ashish Parekh topped the batsmens' list in second division with 1,265 in 20 innings. He also took 28 wickets.
National sub-jr aquatics
Bengal's Taniya Ganguly and Mamoni Mondal picked up a gold and silver each in the 17th national sub-junior aquatic meet which concluded in Bareilly recently.
Taniya won the 3m springboard with 302.10 points and took the highboard silver with 298.15. Mamoni finished behind Taniya in springboard (281.65) but beat her to the high-board title with 300.45.
Junid Alam (200.55) clinched the other gold in boys' group III highboard. Bengal bagged three gold, five silver and four bronze medals.
