Fortaleza: Spain coach Vicente del Bosque says he expects the Italians “to come after” them in the Confederation Cup semi-final, a rematch from last year’s European championship final in which Spain trounced Italy 4-0 to claim their second straight European title.

Del Bosque used the word “revenge” several times to describe Italy’s attitude going into Thursday’s match against the World Cup winners.

“It will be tough as they are seeking revenge after losing 0-4 to us in last year’s European final,” he said.

Spain defender Sergio Ramos says the victory last year means almost nothing, explaining “records like this are made to be broken, so they (Italy) will have that in mind.”

Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari said he hopes to recreate his famous ‘family’ of players who won the 2002 World Cup, but warned that off-field and on-field pressures could adversely affect his young squad.       (Agencies)
