Tumkur: Fourth seed Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus), No. 5 Michal Tabara of Czech Republic, Briton Lee Childs and Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany reached the semi-finals of the $ 25,000 ATP Challenger meet on Friday.

In singles, Marcos carved out a hard fought 6-3, 5-7, 6-0 win over Stephane Bohli of Switzerland, while Tabara overcame a fighting Dieter Kindlmann of Germany 6-7 (7-3), 7-6 (7-5), 6-2. The unseeded Childs, who beat top seed Michal Mertinak earlier, managed a narrow 6-7 (7-3), 7-5, 6-4 win over Francesco of Italy.

In the other quarter final, Kohlschreiber outclassed Martin Lee of England 6-0, 7-6 (7-5).
