PV Sindhu, one of India’s top medal hopes at the Tokyo Olympics, feels she is now more prepared than she was when she won the silver medal at the Rio Games, which was her debut Olympics.

“I know the expectations are higher. But now I know the atmosphere and how it feels to be at an Olympics. At Rio everything was very new and a bit overwhelming,” Sindhu said in a virtual media interaction from Hyderabad, organised by the Sports Authority of India, on Thursday.

“There is no pressure as such. Yes, 2016 was completely different. Responsibilities are lot more now. In Tokyo, I just want to go out there and give my 100 per cent.

“Every player will read your game and everyone knows one another’s game. I need to go with different plans and strategies. I am happy to train at the Gachibowli stadium which helps me to get the feel of a big international stadium.”
