Ayumi Morita of Japan won the singles title at the Gujarat NRE Coke $50,000 ITF Women’s Challenger played here at the BTA Complex.
Second seed Ayumi Morita defeated Romania’s Elora Dabija 6-3, 6-1 in 79 minutes. The first set saw a solitary break in the eighth game when Morita broke Dabija. The second set saw some resistance from Dabija.
Ayumi won $7,315 and 35 ITF points while Elora earned $3,990 and 25 ITF points. Former Davis Cup captain Naresh Kumar was present at the prize distribution ceremony.
