In reply, Mumbai were off to a disastrous start, losing three wickets for only six runs, and they never recovered.

Hooghly defeated Purulia 3-2 in the final of the boys’ team championship in the 74th State and Inter District Table Tennis Championship. Anubhab Kundu won both his singles matches while Ranadip Dutta won one of his singles matches and Soumya Dutta won his only match to earn the victory for Hooghly.
Eastern Railway and Sarisha Assar reached the women’s final of the 28th Senior Basketball Championship here on Friday. While Eastern Railway defeated Chhatra Samity, Sarisha Assar beat West Bengal Police. Eastern Railway reached the men’s final also, beating Rakhi Sangha.
