Mohun Bagan retained custodian Subrata Pal in the inter-club soccer transfers on Wednesday. They also gained Churchill medio Sanjay Parte who signed the inter-state transfer papers and will turn out for the green-and-maroons.

The day also saw Mohammedan Sporting sign five players, including Amitava Ganguly from CFC and Souvik Mondal from Railways.

Pritha in semis

Unseeded Pritha Roy Chowdhury made the under-12 girls? semi-finals of the DKS-BTA mini junior meet on Wednesday. She defeated Pratibha Goel 8-1. The other semi-finalists are top seed Amrita Mukherjee, Mandovi Mullick and Vaidehi Bansal.

In the boys? under-10 event, No. 5 seed Harsh Gurnani reached the quarter finals beating Ritankar Saha Roy 7-5. Also advancing to the last eight were top three seeds Mobasher Alam, Yuvraj Singh Bains and Tejas Singh.

SBCA defeated National HS by six wickets in the Calcutta Cup meet organised by the Vijay Sports Club.

BRIEF SCORES: National HS 125/7. SBCA 127/4 (Vaibhav Lohiya 51). SBCA won by 6 wkts.
