Margao: Dempo continued their unbeaten run in the second leg when they trounced Mohun Bagan with a resounding 4-1 win in a 18th round I-League match at the Nehru Stadium here Thursday.

Dempo scored through Climax Lawerence (26th), Clifford Miranda (30th, 74th) and Ranty Martins (46th).

Bagan technical director Subhash Bhowmick brought in his trump card Jose Barreto midway through the second half but nothing worked for the visitors.

They pulled one back in the closing stage with a strike from Muritala Ali in the 89th minute. Thus, Dempo, who won five matches on the trot, took their tally to 34 points from 17 matches, and are placed fourth. (PTI)
