Mumbai: A Marathi daily on Tuesday clarified that it had not taken any decision to stop the publication of chief selector Dilip Vengsarkar’s column.
“A decision to stop Vengsarkar’s column has not yet been taken,” a source in the newspaper said. “If he sends it, it will be seen if it’s fit to be published. It applies not only to Vengsarkar but to all columns,” he said.
Vengsarkar’s columns appeared in the daily — owned by BCCI chief Sharad Pawar’s brother — even after he was asked by the BCCI to stop writing syndicated columns.
