Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Raj Bawa smashed centuries as India recorded a thumping 326-run win over minnows Uganda to top Group B in the U-19 World Cup on Saturday.

Put in to bat at the Brian Lara stadium, India colts first rode on Bawa’s 162 not out and opener Raghuvanshi’s 144 to post a mammoth 405/5, their second-highest total in the competition. They then bundled out Uganda for a paltry 79 in 19.4 overs.

Bawa’s unbeaten 162 is now the highest individual score by an Indian in the competition, as he surpassed Shikhar Dhawan’s 155 not out against Scotland in 2004.

Brief scores: India U-19 405/5 in 50 ovs (A. Raghuvanshi 144, R. Bawa 162 n.o.). Uganda U-19 79 in 19.4 ovs (N. Sindhu 4/19). India U-19 won by by 326 runs.
