An unbroken 114-run partnership for the eighth wicket between Shams Mulani (49 batting) and Tanush Kotian’s (57 batting) helped Mumbai finish the penultimate day of their Ranji tie against Goa in Ahmedabad at 322/7, a lead of 158.

Ajinkya Rahane (56) and Sarfaraz Khan (48) had the innings after Mumbai lost three quick wickets.

In Delhi, Ishant Sharma got a wicket in his first spell but never looked incisive in his nine overs as Jharkhand, riding twin centuries from Nazim Siddiqui and Kumar Suraj, put Delhi on the brink of elimination.
