Indore: C. S. Nayudu, former India cricketer and younger brother of the legendary C. K. Nayudu, died here on Friday following a protracted illness.
Born on April 14, 1914, Nayudu played 11 Test matches for India. Nayudu, who made his Test debut at the age of 19, could not justify his talent at the highest level of the game though, managing to score just 147 runs from 19 innings. He also took two Test wickets for 359 runs.
He played 56 Ranji Trophy matches and scored 2575 runs at an average of 30.29. He also captured 295 wickets giving away 6925 runs at 23.47 apiece.
