Calcutta/ New Delhi: Just as they did prior to the competition's inaugural edition, Atletico de Kolkata will again hold a camp in Madrid before the second season of the Indian Super League (ISL) gets underway.

"The squad will have a pre-season camp for about three weeks or so in Madrid (around September).

"Doing so had helped last year, so we believe it will be the same this time around as well," ATK co-owner Sourav Ganguly said on Friday.

Coach Antonio Lopez Habas will be present at the July 10 players draft and auction in Mumbai.

"Both Habas and Bhaichung Bhutia (technical adviser) will be present," Sourav said.

Having roped in Iain Hume, Jaime Gavilan Martinez, Jose Luis Espinosa Arroyo and Sameehg Doutie, the defending champions have released striker Fikru Teferra and goalkeeper Edel Bete, both of whom will represent Chennaiyin FC.

It was learnt that ATK had made efforts to get former Czech Republic star Milan Baros as their marquee man, but uncertainty still seems to hover over the matter.

Meanwhile, former France international Florent Malouda could join the Delhi Dynamos as their marquee footballer.
