Bhubaneswar, March 22: The third convocation of Xavier University today saw 649 students graduating from various programmes.

The programmes included master degree in the business administration, human resources and rural managements as well as MBA degrees, MA in mass communication and PG diploma in film and TV production.

Tata Communications Limited managing director Vinod Kumar delivered the convocation address.Nicco Corporation Limited chairman Rajive Kaul attended the event. "Be value-based first, and performance oriented thereafter," said Kumar. Vice-chancellor Fr Paul Fernandes highlighted the varsity's achievements. He congratulated the batch of 2017 and urged them to always rekindle the core values imparted to them. The top rank-holders across schools were presented gold medals for their achievements in academic excellence.
