Sunday's Ekamra Walks included students from Regional Institute of Education (RIE), foreigners currently working in Odisha, artists, lawyers and a pilot.
There were 65 visitors including 10 tourists from Andhra Pradesh, two from Canada, one from US, one artist from Vadodara and two from Delhi.
Pilot Prateek M. Shah, who is hails from Gujarat but has been living here for two years, was overwhelmed with the beautiful monuments of the city.
Shah, who pilots a helicopter of Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys, was accompanied by his naturopath mother Manisha Shah.
"I do not get to spend much time with my kids so this was a great opportunity for us to bond," said Manisha.
Sanjib Kumar Mohanty, a Supreme Court lawyer, said: "Though I originally belong to Kendrapara and stay in Delhi for my profession, I rgularly take part in the Delhi Free Tour, which is organised in the similar lines by an Odia corporate professional."
Rebeca Arbor, who came with her friend Rebeca Thomson, both from Canada, said: "Despite the humidity, we thought of participating in the event because it would help us get connected to Odisha where we are working for tribals and farmers for conserving the ancient farming traditions to have a sustainable development growth. We definitely did not regert our decision."
